Nelson steals it at the end.
Ft: Arsenal 3 - 2 Bournemouth |
Two down, starting player injured, core players benched, we were still UNFAZED. One of the game's most crucial talking points was how our seasoned players stood out. We have fielded the league's youngest team, with virtually few players over the age of 25. Our first two goals after falling behind by two were scored by our two most experienced players, and to top it off, they were their first goals in a long time. Our experienced players took control of the situation and did not let us down.

To do what we did after going two down is nothing short of title material; Real Madrid did this frequently last season in the Champions League. We had no forwards and still scored three goals in the last thirty minutes. We have everything it takes to win the title, 12 more games to go, Liverpool and City away pending. We're getting closer to getting what we deserve; Liverpool just crushed Manchester United, but it shouldn't dampen our spirits; if we can grab three points at Anfield, we should be taking home number 14.
Stats time.
--> Reiss Nelson has been directly involved in more Premier League goals as a substitute than any other player this season: He's only played 85 minutes.
- 3 goals
- 2 assists
-->Oleksandr Zinchenko's game by numbers vs. Bournemouth:
- 100% take-ons completed (2/2)
- 90% pass accuracy
- 118 touches
- 62 final third passes
- 12 duels contested
- 11 duels won
- 6 crosses
- 4 chances created
- 4 tackles
- 3 shots
- 3x possession won
Fulham away.
The drama isn't over yet; just wait till PGMOL calls us out for fielding 11 players against a 19th-placed side instead of fostering sportsmanship and awarding them with a point.
